of Astoria, Oregon - the oldest settlement west of the Rockies. A beautiful
and picturesque city at the mouth of the Columbia River. Steven Spielberg
produced several movies here, including "Goonies", "Short Circuit"
and "Kindergarten Cop". Enjoy special pictures of Fort Clatsop,
winter home of the Lewis & Clark Expedition. Beach scenes feature one
of my favorite pastimes - clam digging for the tastiest of clams known as
"razors" for their sharp shells. Many cards include local recipes
from our Scandinavian community.
